COVID-19

Many businesses have had to take an unwanted break from working. This has effected a great deal of hard working Americans and their families. As North Carolina begins to reopen businesses and prepares for the upcoming school year (whatever that may consist of) remember that disinfecting is a key element in prevention.

We all need to keep up the frequent hand washing practice, the six foot distancing and the disinfecting of commonly touched items. We do not think of all the things that have been touched over and over during the day until we are faced with an illness. For instance, after we leave the store and have touched several cans, boxes, items of clothing, the pin pad at the register; we then walk out and grab our door handle, get into our car and touch our radios, air conditioning, and the steering wheel. All the while we are transferring germs from one place to another. We must keep in mind that we need to be safe. That means wearing gloves when we don’t want to, or mask when we are in public. It also means to keep disinfectant in our cars and hand wipes available. So when we finish touching all the germs in the world we can keep them from transferring to other surfaces.

Wipe your hands, wipe your doors, wipe off the canister at the drive in bank that we are having to use at the moment because we aren’t allowed inside. The bottom line- Think about what you touch and how to stay safe.

You may not be a believer that COVID is any more serious than the flu, or you may know someone that has suffered from it personally.

Either way it never hurts to be cautious. We live in a forever changing world and we never know when the next virus or epidemic may come. Good cleaning habits are never a waste of time.
